Be the Teacher Who Shapes Tomorrow’s Readers
The Westmoreland Intermediate Unit is seeking Early Intervention Special Education Teachers
Join a team where teachers are learners, leaders, and literacy changemakers — and where early learning is intentionally designed to help children thrive. This role offers the opportunity to support our youngest learners, where they learn every day while building strong foundations for Kindergarten and beyond.
Our Vision for Early Learning:
At the WIU, we are redefining what early intervention can be.
Our work is grounded in one shared purpose: Empowering young children through evidence-based literacy, meaningful play, and intentional instruction.
As an itinerant teacher, you will bring this vision into community settings, partnering with families and educators to support development in authentic, child-centered ways.
