We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced dog trainer to join our growing company. This position is focused heavily on behavior modification, so applicants must have hands-on experience working with complex behavioral cases and a strong understanding of canine behavior and rehabilitation.
The ideal candidate is confident handling dogs with varying temperaments and behavioral challenges while maintaining a calm, professional, and compassionate approach. We are looking for someone who is committed to creating meaningful, lasting results for both dogs and their owners through clear communication, structured training, and individualized programs.
Required Experience Includes:
- Leash reactivity
- Dog aggression
- Dog reactivity
- Resource guarding
- Fear-based behaviors and anxiety cases preferred
- Ability to safely manage and rehabilitate challenging dogs in a home environment
Qualifications & Expectations:
- Strong understanding of behavior modification principles and canine body language
- Ability to develop customized training plans based on each dog’s individual needs
- Comfortable working with a wide range of breeds, sizes, drives, and temperaments
- Excellent communication skills with clients both in person and over the phone
- Professional, reliable, and self-motivated
- Passionate about dog training, behavior, and continued education
- Able to maintain structure, cleanliness, and safety within the home and training environment
- Prioritizes the physical and emotional well-being of the dog above all else
- Results-driven trainer willing to utilize the tools and training methods best suited for the dog in front of them
