Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a lively and engaging first impression that sets the tone for their dining experience
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently, coordinating with the team to optimize flow during busy periods
- Assist with event management by supporting special occasions, private dining, or themed nights to ensure seamless execution
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve conflicts promptly with positive communication and conflict management skills
- Provide exceptional customer service by anticipating guest needs and offering personalized recommendations from our menu or wine list
- Maintain accurate cash handling during transactions, ensuring all payments are processed smoothly and securely
- Support overall restaurant operations by coordinating with kitchen staff and servers to enhance guest satisfaction
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality environments and software like OpenTable is A MUST; enthusiasm and a proactive attitude are key
- Strong customer service skills with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences in a fine dining setting
- Ability to manage conflicts effectively through clear communication and positive problem-solving techniques
- Experience working in resort or theater settings is advantageous, bringing an understanding of dynamic public environments
- Familiarity with public speaking helps confidently engage with guests and lead group activities or presentations when needed
