Job Overview
N&S Electric, Inc. is seeking a talented Project Manager with experience in commercial electrical construction. This individual will be responsible for estimating, planning, directing, and coordinating all phases of the project lifecycle—from initial bid through post-project support. The role requires strong communication skills to manage the flow of information between customers and field crews, as well as the ability to track change orders, manage purchase orders, and oversee day-to-day operations for projects ranging from $10K to $3M.
Responsibilities
- Work with the project team to oversee activity to ensure projects are completed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule
- Serve as the primary point of contact for management, clients, engineers, general (and Sub) contractors and on-site crews as required to ensure project safety, quality, project schedule and other milestones are met
- Prepare proposals and estimates, including drawing take-offs
- Maintain Project Budget
- Coordinate all aspects of job set up to incorporate N&S standards regarding quality, safety, scheduling, document control plan, cost codes, job cost spread, material/tooling plan, billing, etc
- Work with the project team to plan and evaluate performance adjustments needed to stay within budget and on schedule for project completion
- Provide correspondence and present project expectations and status to management, field employees, and clients in a group setting
- Quote change orders from drawing changes, RFI’s and customer requests and process accordingly and in a timely manner
- Work with field leadership to ensure the project has adequate resources to maintain schedule, budget and exceed safety expectations
- Regional travel is required (Fairfield and New Haven Counties)
Qualifications
- 4-7 years of progressive experience in commercial electrical project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects of varying scales and complexities.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and installation methods.
- In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant electrical standards and regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Sage, Foundation 4 Construction, Procore, or similar).
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently.
- Solid financial acumen and experience with budget management.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Must hold a valid E-2 electrical license in Connecticut
- Must have or be willing to obtain OSHA 30 certification
- Strong field background
- Estimating experience required for small-large sized jobs and change orders

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $73,394.20 - $88,388.72 per year
