RFX Automotive is a growing independent auto repair shop located in Henderson, NV. We serve customers from Henderson, Las Vegas, and surrounding areas with professional automotive repair, diagnostics, maintenance, brakes, suspension, A/C service, tires, and more.
We are looking for a Nevada 2G Certified Smog / Emissions Technician with a current and valid Nevada 2G emissions license.
This position is only for candidates who already have an active Nevada 2G license.
Applicants without a current and valid Nevada 2G license will not be considered.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:
- Currently Nevada 2G certified
- Holding an active and valid Nevada emissions license
- Experienced with smog/emissions testing
- Familiar with Nevada DMV emissions procedures
- Reliable, professional, and organized
- Able to follow state requirements accurately
- Comfortable working in a shop environment
- Focused on accuracy, compliance, and customer trust
Main Responsibilities
- Perform Nevada smog / emissions inspections according to state requirements
- Follow all Nevada DMV emissions testing procedures
- Operate emissions testing equipment properly
- Maintain accurate inspection records
- Communicate clearly with customers and the service team
- Identify emissions-related issues when applicable
- Help maintain compliance with Nevada emissions regulations
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and professional
- Support the shop with emissions-related workflow
Required License
- Current and valid Nevada 2G Emissions Inspector License is required
- License must be active and in good standing
- Candidate must be able to provide proof of current Nevada 2G license
- Candidates with only 1G license will not be considered
- Candidates who are not currently licensed will not be considered
Required Experience
- Experience performing smog / emissions inspections in Nevada
- Knowledge of Nevada emissions testing procedures
- Ability to operate emissions testing equipment
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable attendance
- Professional attitude
- Valid driver’s license
- Available Monday through Friday
Nice To Have
- Automotive repair experience
- Diagnostic experience
- Experience with check engine lights and emissions-related repairs
- ASE certifications
- Experience working in an independent repair shop
Compensation
Pay is based on experience, reliability, and current Nevada 2G license status.
Compensation will be discussed during the interview.
