Overview of Job Title: We are looking for an experienced dog handler. This person MUST love dogs and be able to command a group of varying breeds, sizes and temperaments as well as clean. This position is full time, with availability absolutely needed for all weekdays, as well as one weekend day.
Additional hours may be necessary and flexibility is a must. You must be consistently available. 18+ applicants are strongly preferred, as this is not a seasonal job and school schedules may interfere with required availability.
Responsibilities of Daycare/Boarding Attendant:
- Detailed cleaning of cabins, dog runs, outdoor yard sanitation
- Watch over/monitor the daycare and hotel guests in a safe and effective way
- Interacting with clients in person when necessary
- Washing/drying/folding laundry
- Loading/unloading dishwasher
- Prepping and administering food & medications
Mandatory qualifications of Daycare/Boarding Attendant:
- 1 year professional experience. We do not consider owning and taking care of your own dogs/dog walking professional experience for this job.
Skills and qualities of Daycare/Boarding Attendant:
- Able to multitask efficiently
- Can handle breeds of any size/temperament
- Can stay on feet for prolonged periods of time while overseeing groups
- Caring and considerate towards our furry guests
- Positive attitude and demeanor when interacting with/developing relationships with our clients
- Able to work effectively in a team environment
- Flexible scheduling as needed strongly preferred
