Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patients’ health by checking vital signs, observing changes, and reporting concerns promptly
- Administer medications safely following care plans and HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary
- Support residents during outings or community activities to foster social engagement and independence
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces
- Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident’s personal assistive devices to ensure safe transfers and mobility
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home health care preferred; experience with group homes or hospice care is a plus
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism
- Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, and HIPAA compliance are highly desirable
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks required for resident transfers and mobility assistance
- Strong communication skills for effective patient monitoring, care planning, and collaboration with healthcare teams
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and dedication to providing high-quality senior or long-term care
- Willingness to work flexible hours in a dynamic environment that values safety and personalized support
Pay: $19.00 per hour
