Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist them with inquiries, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems for transactions, including sales, returns, and exchanges.
- Conduct product demos to educate guests about features and benefits of merchandise.
- Upsell additional products or services to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Manage cash handling accurately, including cashiering and balancing registers at shift end.
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability.
- Provide bilingual support when needed to serve a diverse guest base effectively.
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or taking orders.
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as stocking and merchandising to optimize presentation.
- Support retail sales initiatives by engaging guests in meaningful conversations about products.
Experience
- Previous retail sales or customer service experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Supervising experience is a plus, especially in managing team members or training new staff.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures ensures smooth transaction processes.
- Experience conducting product demos or upselling enhances guest engagement skills.
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to connect with a broader range of guests effectively.
- Strong communication skills—both verbal and written—are essential for delivering outstanding service.
- Basic math skills are necessary for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management.
