The Orthospaceship is a boutique orthodontic practice known for whole-health orthodontics — including TMJ and airway-focused treatment most assistants never get exposure to. We're looking for an experienced, licensed assistant who takes pride in their work and wants a real role, in writing, on a close-knit team.

What you'll do
- Assist chairside through bonding, debanding, adjustments, and records
- Remove aligner attachments and appliances (slow-speed) per your OA permit, after doctor check
- Take and process diagnostic records: photos, iTero/intraoral scans, and X-rays
- Place and remove archwires, ligatures, and appliances per the doctor's direction
- Prep and turn operatories; maintain sterilization and infection control to a documented standard
- Educate patients on appliance care, hygiene, and aligner wear
- Keep accurate, same-day clinical notes in Dolphin
What we're looking for
- Current California Orthodontic Assistant (OA) permit required — this role removes aligner attachments and appliances daily
- RDA strongly preferred (RDA + OA permit is the ideal combination) — or an experienced RDA willing to obtain the OA permit within 90 days
- Prior orthodontic assisting experience
- Current X-ray/radiography and BLS/CPR certifications
- Strong attention to detail and genuine warmth with patients
- Reliability and a team-first mindset
