Not every private practice is the same.
Thriving Child Center is a psychologist-owned, psychologist-led private-pay specialty practice built for psychologists who want to provide exceptional evidence-based care without the burden of building or running a business.
We're looking for an experienced child psychologist who values clinical excellence, enjoys collaborating with other talented psychologists, and wants to spend their time doing meaningful clinical work rather than worrying about marketing, scheduling, billing, or administrative tasks.
Whether you're interested in building a private-pay caseload alongside your current position or you're looking for a long-term professional home in private practice, we'd love to meet you.
Why psychologists choose Thriving Child Center
Over the past decade, we've built strong referral relationships with psychologists, pediatricians, psychiatrists, schools, and other professionals throughout the Houston community who trust us to care for their patients and families.
Our practice is known for providing high-quality, evidence-based care. Our psychologists are actively involved in leadership, research, training, and specialty work, including national leadership in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).
We've also invested heavily in building the infrastructure that allows psychologists to focus on being psychologists. Through our established referral network, ongoing marketing, and dedicated administrative team, we provide a steady stream of well-matched referrals so you can focus on exceptional clinical care rather than building a private practice from scratch.
What you'll find here
- Founded by a psychologist and supported by an experienced clinical leadership team committed to evidence-based care.
- Established private-pay specialty practice with an outstanding professional reputation
- A steady stream of well-matched referrals supported by longstanding professional relationships and ongoing marketing
- Administrative support for intake, scheduling, and client communication
- Flexibility to determine your own availability and build the clinical schedule that works best for you
- A collaborative clinical environment with regular consultation and access to experienced colleagues.
- Beautiful office space in River Oaks and The Woodlands, with telehealth opportunities available

This opportunity may be a great fit if you:
- Are a licensed Ph.D. or Psy.D. psychologist in Texas
- Enjoy working with children, adolescents, and families
- Practice from an evidence-based perspective
- Value clinical excellence, professionalism, integrity, collaboration, and lifelong learning
- Appreciate the autonomy of independent practice while enjoying the support of an established specialty practice
- Have an interest in maintaining an in-person presence in one of our Houston-area offices
Experience with ADHD and autism assessment, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), or forensic evaluation is welcomed but not required.
If you're looking for a practice where your expertise is respected, your professional reputation matters, and your time is spent providing exceptional clinical care rather than building and managing a business, we'd love to hear from you.
