Armed Security Officer (BSIS Certified)

Job Summary
All Terrain Protective Services, Inc. is seeking highly qualified Armed Security Officers to provide professional security services for a public agency in Temecula, California. Officers must possess all required California BSIS licenses and certifications before employment and maintain them throughout their employment.
Applicants must meet every qualification listed below. Candidates who do not possess all required licenses and certifications will not be considered. These requirements are based on the contract qualifications for all assigned personnel.
Duties
- Provide armed security at designated facilities
- Conduct foot and vehicle patrols
- Control access to District facilities
- Respond to alarms, emergencies, and suspicious activity
- Prepare detailed incident and activity reports
- Maintain professional appearance and customer service
- Enforce client policies and procedures
- Work independently and as part of a security team
Required Qualifications
Applicants MUST have ALL of the following:
- Current California BSIS Guard Card (valid—not temporary)
- Current BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit (for armed positions)
- Current firearms qualification for all carried weapons
- Live Scan/background check
- Valid California Class C Driver License
- Minimum one (1) year of relevant security experience
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to write accurate incident reports
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including background investigation and drug screening (if applicable)
These qualifications are required for armed security positions under the contract.
Preferred Qualifications
- Patrol experience
- Public agency or utility security experience
- Military or law enforcement background
- Experience operating 4x4 patrol vehicles
- Strong customer service skills
