Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive curriculam that integrate various art forms such as dance, theater, music, and creative movement tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
- Lead energetic and engaging classes in ballet, jazz, and tap for ages 18 mo-10 y/o
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to foster a positive learning environment that encourages participation and creativity.
- Plan and execute choreography for performances and community showcases that highlight students’ talents and progress.
- Provide personalized tutoring and mentorship to students with diverse learning needs, including special education or behavior management requirements.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, or educational staff to support childhood development goals through arts-based activities.
- Manage lesson planning with clear objectives that promote creativity, technical skills, and self-expression while ensuring safety during all activities.Experience
- Proven experience teaching visual & performing arts such as dance (ballet preferred), theater, music, or related creative disciplines.
- Background in curriculum development for youth programs or adult education focused on arts instruction.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children of various ages including preschoolers and early childhood learners.
- Strong classroom management skills combined with experience in behavior management strategies.
- Familiarity with choreography creation for performances or community events.
- Experience working with students with special needs or in inclusive educational settings is highly desirable.
