Responsibilities:
- Assist in food preparation and meal assembly according to recipes and portion sizes
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe work environment
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely and efficient meal service
- Maintain inventory of food supplies and notify supervisor of any shortages or discrepancies
- Assist in cleaning and organizing the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
- Support the dietary department in meeting the nutritional needs of residents/patients
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a food service or culinary role preferred
- Knowledge of basic food safety practices and procedures
- Ability to follow recipes and portion sizes accurately
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
