Role Overview:
BEPC Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support our client's production operations in Clearwater, FL. This position is ideal for an engineer with manufacturing support experience who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and is passionate about process improvement, operational efficiency, and product quality.
In this role, you will partner with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes, resolve production challenges, develop manufacturing documentation, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that support operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to achieve production goals.
- Create, revise, and maintain manufacturing work instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and process documentation.
- Analyze production layouts, workflows, equipment, and assembly methods to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Identify and implement process improvements that enhance quality, reduce waste, and increase manufacturing performance.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing and production line issues while conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Determine tooling, fixtures, equipment, and materials required to support manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
- Support new product introductions (NPI), engineering change orders (ECOs), and process validation activities.
- Monitor manufacturing performance metrics and recommend continuous improvement opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company quality, safety, and operational standards.
- Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment (3–5 years preferred).
- Experience creating and maintaining manufacturing work instructions and process documentation.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production support, and process optimization.
- Experience troubleshooting manufacturing or production line issues.
- Knowledge of assembly methods, tooling, manufacturing workflows, and production equipment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing software systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience supporting engineering change orders (ECOs) and process validation.
- Familiarity with quality systems and manufacturing documentation.
- Experience with root cause analysis and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
