Position Title: Private Banking Associate

The Private Banking Associate’s responsibilities revolve around maintaining excellent relationships with Private Banking clients by serving as the primary point of contact to respond to and resolve customer requests and inquiries. The position provides a wide array of general retail banking services to high-net-worth individuals, from account opening to processing draws, wire transfers, account transfers and loan and account maintenance. The perception of Paragon is largely dependent on the performance and customer interaction with individuals in this position.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Track, monitor, follow-up, and clear collateral, financial, compliance exceptions and insurance expiration exceptions.
- Review reports for past dues, loan maturities and overdrafts.
- Prepare, package and scan loan documents according to established procedures prior to submission to credit administration.
- Coordinate and accurately complete required loan documentation on loans closed internally.
- Record documents, i.e., coordinate recording (bank or closing agent), set tickler and administer follow-up.
- Open customer accounts
- Process customer wire requests.
- Perform departmental administrative support functions.
- Handle written transfers, prepare internal transfer of funds.
- Handle customer inquiries and problems relating to loans and depository accounts and thoroughly research and resolve with customers as appropriate, reporting results to the Relationship Manager
- Process customer draw and payoff requests.
- Consistently document loan files of any relative actions taken
- Cross sell bank products and services
- Organize and plan client meetings
- Other related duties that may be requested
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AN EXPERIENCE
- In depth knowledge of loan processing systems, loan documentation, bank terminology and regulatory compliance with consumer banking products and processes typically gained through recent experience in Private/Commercial banking or Retail banking position involving account opening and consumer lending.
- Strong people skills with experience/ability to develop customer relationships.
- Organizational and time management skills to effectively prioritize, manage heavy work volume and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to perform duties with minimal or no errors when working with customers, Deposit Operations or Credit Administration
- This position will also assist the Operations team in the Banking Center as needed.
- Notary Public
- Determine work prioritization and flow.
- Determine the most efficient response and resolution to customer inquiries and problems.
- Make recommendations to customers regarding Paragon products and services to enhance customer relationships.
- 3 years of experience in Retail/Commercial Banking
- 3 years of experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
REQUIRED EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED
PREFERRED EDUCATION
- Some college preferred but not required.
