Guild Brands is hiring a Managing Creative Director to lead the strategic vision and operational excellence of our creative function and team. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who sets a high bar for creative excellence, owns art direction end to end, and turns performance data into smart creative decisions.
- Set the creative bar. Drive engaging, on-brand imagery, photography, video/motion, design, and copy across all print and digital channels. Own art direction end to end — casting and directing models, leading ideation and on-set execution, and directing AI-generated imagery within brand voice and constraints to hold visual consistency. Evaluate and manage AI production partners.
-
Deliver a best-in-class customer journey. Partner with stakeholders to create an inspiring, intuitive, brand-consistent experience across every touchpoint. Engage directly with paid social, email, and retention data, and translate results into creative decisions.
-
Stay close to the customer and market. Collaborate across teams to understand customer segmentation, trends, artist personas, and the competitive set, using those insights to keep evolving the brand.
-
Lead and develop the team. Mentor copywriters, designers, and production staff with clear creative criticism, hold brand standards, and ensure efficient workflow and flawless execution.
-
Own the budget. Hold ultimate accountability for the creative department budget, partnering with the Creative Operations Manager on spend decisions and delivering creative on time, on budget, and with measurable ROI.
-
10+ years of progressive leadership experience, including 5+ years as a Creative Director or Associate Creative Director
-
Proven success managing a multi-discipline team across writing, design, and art direction
-
Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into creative execution across omni-channel brands
-
Deep photographic and art direction expertise — casting models, guiding ideation, building sets, and directing on set, ideally with mastery of apparel
-
Fluency directing AI-generated and AI-assisted imagery within brand voice and constraints, plus confidence evaluating and managing AI production partners
-
Comfort interpreting paid social, email, and retention metrics — able to act on results, not just execute and hand off
