I. Job Summary
This advanced training professional designs, develops, produces and modifies learning/training programs; to include instructor led training, web-based training, and performance support for employee and/or customer training programs. This position also leads other team members as necessary. This position is responsible to apply knowledge of sound adult learning principles and practices gained in obtaining a bachelor's degree in the subject area, or by the equivalent practical experience and additional practical experience.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Leads instructional design projects from inception to completion; enters data into database, and maintains files and records. – 10% of the time

Consults with subject matter experts, project sponsors and staff on instructional design and learning objectives. – 10% of the time

Leads in the development of instructional strategies, course materials, assessment techniques, appropriate integration of instructional technologies and best practices. – 10% of the time

Designs and produces learning materials in a variety of formats including print, graphics, audio, video, animation and multimedia to support teaching, learning, and business information needs. Often using advanced/specialized tools and processes. – 40% of the time

Provides specialized and advanced assistance to staff in technology tools and methods, use of instructional software, and effective uses of multimedia. – 8% of the time

Researches and makes recommendations on educational best practices, instructional resources, instructional technologies and multimedia hardware/software to support teaching and learning. – 7% of the time

Designs, develops, and delivers specialized and advanced workshops and training to employees in the use of instructional technologies and educational best practices; maintains records. – 5% of the time

Conducts assessment and analysis to identify development needs and effectiveness of training. Recommends learning or performance improvement methods to address needs. – 5% of the time

Communicates and develops working relationships with vendors. Provides input for vendor service/product negotiations. Assesses quality of delivered service/product. – 5% of the time
III. Qualifications
A. Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in field

Bachelor's Degree in related area

B. Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Education (Adult, Workforce, Curriculum Design, Instructional Design
