Established in 1964, Opperman & Son, Inc. is a used heavy duty commercial truck dealership located in Healdsburg, CA. We are on our fourth generation of family involvement, due to our commitment to quality, service, integrity, and customer satisfaction.
Opperman & Son is one of the largest used equipment dealers in California. Our goal is to handle our customer’s needs full circle by selling new and used equipment; new and used parts; and service with our complete repair shop, welding shop, and body shop department.
Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Opperman & Son is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team. This position plays a key role in ensuring the accurate receipt, organization, and shipment of parts and equipment. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Functions:
- Receive incoming parts deliveries throughout the workday
- Verify, process, and distribute special-order parts promptly upon arrival
- Receive and stock inventory in designated bin locations
- Ensure all stock and special-order parts are properly stored or delivered daily
- Package, label, and prepare documentation for outbound shipments
- Coordinate daily carrier pickups for outgoing shipments
- Pull parts for delivery and prepare associated paperwork
- Complete and maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory records accurately
- Clean, organize, and update parts displays as directed
- Serve as a backup driver for local parts deliveries as needed
- Maintain an organized and orderly parts warehouse
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and physical inventories
- Participate in required training sessions and team meetings
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous shipping and receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Ability to lift and move parts and materials as required
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
