Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialized equipment.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Execute route driving with precision, adhering to schedules and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with transportation laws.
- Manage delivery documentation accurately and communicate effectively with dispatch teams.
- Maintain a clean driving record by following all traffic laws and company policies.
- Build strong relationships with clients through professional conduct during deliveries and pickups.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or non CDL with endorsements relevant to the equipment operated (e.g., refrigerated trailer, tanker).
- Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles involving freight handling.
- Skilled in manual transmission operation and familiar with tractor-trailer systems.
- Knowledge of load securing techniques for flatbed loads or refrigerated freight.
- Ability to operate specialized equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks when required.
- Strong understanding of route planning, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
