Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Store Manager to lead our retail team and oversee daily store operations. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving sales, managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining efficient store processes. Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the retail sales team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer experiences.
- Oversee daily store operations including inventory management, merchandising, and cash handling procedures.
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new employees while providing ongoing training and development to enhance team performance.
- Manage scheduling, shift management, and ensure proper coverage during operating hours.
- Implement effective pricing strategies, promotional activities, and merchandising plans to maximize sales.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping, payroll processing, and inventory control to ensure operational efficiency.
- Utilize POS systems for transactions, sales tracking, and reporting; ensure compliance with cash handling policies.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, provide feedback, and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Monitor store performance metrics; analyze sales data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards, company policies, and customer service excellence.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles within the retail industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Demonstrated proficiency in inventory management, POS systems, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and cash handling.
- Skilled in negotiation, purchasing, pricing strategies, and operational management.
- Experience with recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, training & development.
- Knowledge of retail math including basic math calculations related to sales and inventory control.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently with strong organizational skills.
- Familiarity with grocery store or wireless sales environments is advantageous but not required.
