Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate individual to join our team as an evening Direct Support Professional. As an evening Direct Support Professional, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with developmental, mental, and physical disabilities in their daily lives. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, patience, reliability, and have strong observational skills. This role is important for creating a positive and supportive environment for all residents as they wind down for the night and foster a peaceful and secure overnight experience for all involved.
The evening shifts will consist of one week on and one week off, Thursday-Wednesday. Shifts range from a starting time of 4p - 5p and end between 9p - 11p. Hours range from 36-40 hours a pay period.

Duties:
- Assist individuals with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration
- Monitoring nighttime routines
- Implement individualized care plans and behavioral support plans
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals
- Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times
- Foster independence and community integration for individuals
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided
Skills:
- Knowledge of resident rights and advocacy
- Experience working with people with disabilities
- Ability to provide patient care with empathy and compassion
- Strong caregiving skills with a focus on individualized care
- Familiarity with home care systems and cleanliness standards
