Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners, fostering their development through engaging activities, and ensuring their safety and well-being.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote childhood development and learning.
- Provide attentive care for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
- Manage classroom activities effectively, maintaining a positive and structured environment.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to guide children’s behavior and encourage positive interactions.
- Engage in daily communication with parents regarding their child's progress, activities, and any concerns.
- Foster an inclusive atmosphere by working with children of varying abilities, including those with disabilities or special needs.
- Supervise playtime and outdoor activities to ensure safety while encouraging socialization and teamwork among children.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the classroom to create a welcoming learning space.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a daycare or educational setting is essential.
- Bachelors degree in early childhood education or child development.
- Experience in preschool education or toddler care is highly desirable.
- Associate degree in early childhood education/child development plus:
- 18 semester hours in early childhood education/child development
- 480 hours of child care experience.
- Familiarity with special education techniques or experience working with students with disabilities is a plus.
- Excellent classroom management skills to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
