AMW is seeking motivated and energetic individuals to join our team as Entry-Level Commercial Roofers and or Sheet Metal Installers. You will gain hands-on experience working on commercial roofing and/or siding projects, learning essential skills that will pave the way for a successful career in roofing, siding and construction.
In this role you will assist skilled roofers and installers with physical tasks like carrying materials, setting up equipment, removing old roofing, and cleaning sites, learning the trade through hands-on experience with no prior skills needed, but requiring physical stamina, comfort with heights, outdoor weather elements, and a strong work ethic to help with material application, site prep, and safety under supervision.
Duties
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial roofing/installation systems using hand tools and power tools
- Support team members in measuring, cutting, and fitting roofing materials according to project specifications
- Help with site preparation, including material handling and heavy lifting to ensure safety and efficiency
- Remove old roofing, clear debris, set up ladders/scaffolding, and clean work areas
- Maintain a clean and organized work site, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with experienced roofers on tasks such as caulking, trim carpentry, and application
Qualifications
- No prior experience required; a strong willingness to learn is essential
- Basic familiarity with hand tools and power tools is a plus but not mandatory
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (50lbs Independently) and effectively throughout the workday
- Good physical condition with the stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately·
- Safety: Follow safety protocols, maintain a safe work environment, and ensure tools are clean
- Prior construction site experience or handyman skills are beneficial but not required
