Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable weekend On-Call Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. In this role, you will provide after-hours nursing support, respond to patient and family needs, perform admissions when needed, manage symptom concerns, and help ensure our patients remain comfortable in the place they call home.
This position is ideal for a nurse who enjoys working independently while knowing they are backed by an experienced, supportive hospice team.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-call nursing coverage during weekends.
- Perform nursing visits for symptom management and urgent patient needs.
- Respond promptly to patient and family phone calls.
- Collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record.
- Provide compassionate education and emotional support to patients and families.
Qualifications
Current Utah Registered Nurse (RN) license. Hospice or home health experience preferred.
- Excellent assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and documentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
- Current driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.
