Job Summary
A direct hire opportunity is available for a Purchasing Assistant in Livermore, CA within the biotechnology and pharmaceuticals industry. The Purchasing Assistant will support day-to-day purchasing activity, vendor communication, order tracking, documentation, and administrative coordination. Key Responsibilities
- Support purchasing activities, including creating purchase orders, tracking order status, and maintaining accurate procurement records.
- Communicate with vendors, internal teams, and departments to confirm pricing, availability, delivery dates, and order details.
- Assist with inventory, supply, and materials coordination to help ensure timely availability of needed products and services.
- Review purchasing documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal procedures.
- Help resolve order discrepancies, backorders, shipment issues, and invoice-related questions.
- Maintain organized files, reports, and administrative records related to purchasing and vendor activity.

- Pay range: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour.
- Location: Livermore, CA.
