Embark on a meaningful contract assignment supporting students’ growth and success in a friendly school environment near Smithville, TN. This opportunity spans the academic year from August 5, 2026, through May 21, 2027, with a consistent Monday–Friday schedule of 30-32.5 hours per week. You’ll primarily work with elementary students, with some involvement supporting high schoolers, making a broad, positive impact.
To excel in this position, you’ll need:
Qualifications and Credentials:
- Specialist-level degree (Ed.S.) or higher in School Psychology from an accredited program, with a completed supervised internship
- Tennessee School Service Personnel (SSP) School Psychologist license, or eligibility for licensure (out-of-state applicants may qualify via reciprocity)
- Passing score on the Praxis School Psychologist Exam (5402), a requirement for Tennessee licensure
Role Details:
- Conduct psycho-educational assessments, initial evaluations, and reevaluations for a student population with approximately 20% in special education
- Attend meetings related to evaluations and reevaluations
- Every student receives comprehensive testing at a minimum of every six years (every other reevaluation cycle)
- No Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) or Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) required
