Job Summary of the Industrial Engineer: The Industrial Engineer will take charge of identifying operational issues, implementing lean methodologies to streamline processes, and enhancing overall efficiency. Responsibilities include overseeing IE operators and technicians, offering guidance, and fostering their professional growth.
Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Industrial Engineer:
- Implement lean initiatives like 5S, visual management, and Kaizen to eliminate waste and boost productivity.
- Lead the development of facility staff through proactive leadership, driving a culture of continuous improvement.
- Optimize manufacturing processes, layouts, and workflows for enhanced efficiency.
- Track and drive continuous improvement efforts across different operational areas.
- Plan and execute improvement projects to meet goals and deadlines.
- Design equipment layouts and safety measures to maximize plant utilization.
- Oversee equipment procurement and implementation, ensuring optimal capital expenditure.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop a roadmap for continuous improvement.
- Enhance production planning tools and time standards to optimize capacity.
Education & Experience Requirements of Industrial Engineer:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Industrial Engineering
- Proficient in lean principles and throughput improvement
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Self-motivated and adaptable to changing priorities
