Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring their comfort and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the dental team. Experience with Eaglesoft and four-handed dentistry is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth
- Assess patients' oral health by taking medical histories and vital signs
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient treatments
- Utilize Eaglesoft software for patient management and record keeping
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow in the clinic
- Provide care for pediatric patients, ensuring their comfort during visits
- Stay updated on dental terminology and practices to enhance patient care
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist in a clinical setting is preferred
- Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques is a plus
- Knowledge of general dentistry practices and procedures
- Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable
- Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software
- Understanding of medical terminology related to dental health
