Job Overview
TDB Communications, Inc., is seeking qualified Audiologists to support Veterans through Medical Disability Examinations (MDEs) for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. This is a flexible, independent contractor opportunity ideal for providers seeking part-time, per diem, or supplemental income.
Providers will conduct Audiology Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations and related diagnostic testing in an office-based setting using Leidos QTC proprietary systems and workflows.
Location Requirement
- Providers must reside within 50 miles of the recruitment need location.

Employment Type
- Independent Contractor (1099)
- Flexible scheduling based on provider availability
Required Qualifications
Licensure & Certifications
- Active, clear, and unrestricted Audiology license in the applicable state
- Active certification with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
Education
- Doctorate in Audiology from an accredited college or university
Experience
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience preferred
- Direct patient care experience preferred but not required
- Retired providers may be considered
Required Services
Providers may perform:
- Hearing Loss & Tinnitus Evaluations
- Audiograms
- Stenger Testing
- Tympanometry & Reflex Testing
- Ear Wax Removal
- Pure Tone Air Conduction Testing
- Medical Opinions and record reviews
- Follow-up clarifications and addendums
Facility Requirements
Providers must maintain an OSHA and ADA-compliant office facility unless otherwise approved by Leidos.
Facility requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Accessible parking and entrances
- Clean and safe examination areas
- Wheelchair-accessible exam room
- Proper emergency signage and exits
- PPE and sanitation stations
- Biohazard and sharps disposal
- Sound booth or compliant boothless testing environment
- Calibration documentation for equipment
- Cerumen management supplies
- Single-use testing supplies
Medical spas are not accepted.
Annual facility inspections are required and may be conducted virtually or in person.
Equipment Requirements
- Soundproof audio booth compliant with ANSI 1991 standards
- Properly calibrated audiology equipment
- Cerumen removal supplies
- Proof of calibration available upon request
Sensitive Examination Requirements
Providers must:
- Be willing to perform sensitive examinations when requested
- Maintain availability of a chaperone during sensitive exams
- Avoid blanket refusal of examination types or diagnoses
Systems & Training Provided
Providers will receive:
- TDB-issued laptop
- Access to the Leidos QTC Provider Portal and MEP systems
- Virtual onboarding and workflow training
- HIPAA, privacy, and security training
- Technical and provider liaison support
Compensation
- Paid on a per-service basis
- Compensation issued on a paid-when-paid basis
- Malpractice coverage provided through TDB Communications for services performed under this program
