Epic Personnel Partners is seeking a Freight Tracking Supervisor for a large-scale food distribution service center in Bloomfield, CT. The ideal candidate will have prior supervisory experience in warehouse or logistics environments and a strong focus on operational accuracy, communication, and leadership.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily cooler receiving and inbound freight operations from the Produce Consolidation Center (PCC).
- Track freight movements to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with customer quality standards.
- Coordinate with Quality Control teams to verify product integrity and ensure audit accuracy.
- Conduct shift turnover meetings, monitor inbound/outbound volumes, and review daily operational goals.
- Communicate proactively with transportation and warehouse leadership to address any delays or discrepancies.
- Manage and validate staff schedules, timesheets, and payroll documentation.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment that meets company and OSHA standards.
- Mentor and develop warehouse associates and leads to build a strong, efficient team.
- Support performance evaluations, associate development, and compliance with company policies.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or freight supervision preferred.
- Working knowledge of WMS systems and basic computer literacy.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train teams.
- Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, organization, and time-management abilities.
- Flexible schedule and willingness to support a 7-day operation as needed.
