Our client is a well-established, industry-leading organization supporting a large, multi-state workforce. They are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join their team. They offer hybrid flexibility and the opportunity to build on your existing payroll experience while gaining exposure to more advanced payroll processes and systems.
Responsibilities:
- Process high-volume, multi-state payroll while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Audit payroll data, review payroll reports, and research discrepancies prior to payroll processing.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries related to pay, taxes, deductions, garnishments, and timekeeping.
- Utilize UKG to process payroll transactions and maintain employee records.
- Work extensively in Excel, including importing payroll data, manipulating spreadsheets, and utilizing functions such as VLOOKUP, PivotTables, XLOOKUP, and formulas.
- Assist with payroll audits, reconciliations, reporting, and month-end activities.
- Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee payroll information.
- Support process improvement initiatives and assist with special payroll projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience.
- Experience processing multi-state payroll (Preferred).
- Experience working with UKG (REQUIRED)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and data imports.
- Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, garnishments, and payroll best practices.
- Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to resolve payroll inquiries professionally.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly compensation: $30- $33/hour (Depending on experience).
- Hybrid schedule with 3 remote days per week after training.
