Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a pristine and safe environment across our facilities. This vital role involves performing a wide range of cleaning tasks to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and overall hygiene standards are met consistently. Duties
- Perform routine cleaning of floors, windows, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and techniques such as pressure washing and floor care methods.
- Handle chemical cleaning agents safely, ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain safety standards.
- Conduct sanitation procedures to prevent infection spread, including disinfecting high-touch surfaces and managing infection control protocols.
- Manage laundry services when required, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or uniforms.
- Operate cleaning machinery such as vacuum cleaners, pressure washers, and floor buffers efficiently to ensure optimal results.
- Maintain cleanliness of windows through detailed window cleaning processes for clear visibility and aesthetic appeal.
- Assist with custodial responsibilities by replenishing supplies, disposing of waste properly, and ensuring all areas meet cleanliness standards at all times.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or institutional settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with various cleaning techniques including chemical handling, sanitation practices, and floor care is highly desirable.
- Experience with cleaning equipment operation such as pressure washers and floor buffers will be advantageous.
- Knowledge of infection control procedures and safety protocols related to manual handling and heavy lifting is essential.
- Strong customer service skills are beneficial for interacting professionally with staff and visitors while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while working independently or as part of a team is crucial for success in this role.
