Job Summary
The School Age lead will be the lead teacher in our school age room. This person will work with children Kindergarten and older. You would plan activities, go to the pool, library, summer movies, and many other activities as you plan.
Duties
- Supervise the children in the classroom and at activities outside the center
- Coordinate daily activities and programs, ensuring they are engaging and educational.
- Provide guidance and training to team members in areas such as behavior management and classroom management.
- Foster a positive environment that encourages participation and growth among all individuals involved.
- Implement safety protocols, including first aid procedures, to ensure the well-being of participants..
- Engage with parents and guardians to communicate progress and address any concerns.
Skills
- Experience in childcare or working with children in various settings (camp, sports coaching).
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Flexibility to adapt programs based on participant needs and feedback.
