We are expanding our grinding team!
We are looking to add a member to our team of Surface Grinding Operators on day shift.
Days and Hours:
Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm

Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform entry level of skill for set-up, monitor, operate and adjust grinding machines, such as the Gallmayer grinder, Blanchard grinder, Abplanalp grinder or Lapping machines
- Basic level of knowledge of choosing proper grinding machine as specified by WOP.

Follow proper procedures for machine set-up and adjustment.
- Wash ferrite cores and place in oven.

Must learn or be able to check size of parts periodically using appropriate tools as stated in the work instructions

Must learn or be able to read micrometer, caliper, dial indicator tools and plot measurements, checking for consistency.
- Must learn or be able to interpret readings

Must learn or be able to inspect parts under microscope to assure a quality product.
- Complete basic paperwork specified in Work Order Packet including measurements from pre-control forms

Other non-essential duties may be assigned as necessary

Follow all relevant Quality and / or Environmental standards to which Fair Rite is certified

Follow all O.S.H.A. standards and the Fair-Rite Safety and Health Policy.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education / Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

1 – 3 months on the job training and or experience
Preferred Education / Experience Requirements:
-
Vocational / Technical Education or Technical Training Certificate

3 months on the job training and or experience
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to operate all grinding machines and instruments

Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
-
Ability to work under minimal or no supervision
- Good hand-eye coordination
-
Ability to operate CMS / ERP system effectively

PC / Computer skills are recommended
-
Ability to use the tool data collection / SPC
-
Good spatial perception
