Position Summary
The Production Associate plays a key role in supporting daily operations within a beverage manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for assisting with the safe and efficient bottling of distilled water, purified water, and punch beverages, while maintaining product quality and compliance with food safety standards. As we are a blended company with multiple business departments, the Production Associate may also be assigned to assist other departments with warehouse-related duties to support the overall success of production and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with bottling operations for distilled water, purified water, and punch beverages.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety, and company standards.
- Assist with warehouse-related tasks as needed, including:
- Hand-stacking and palletizing finished orders.
- Handling rework and repackaging of products.
- Assembling boxes, cartons, and other packaging materials.
- Supporting other cross-functional needs as directed by supervisors or management.
- Accurately complete required production and quality documentation.
- Inspect products for defects and ensure finished goods meet quality and safety requirements.
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the production and warehouse teams.
Equipment & Testing Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production machinery including:
- Case packer
- Palletizer
- Filler machine
- Perform Clean-in-Place (CIP) procedures as directed.
- Conduct titration testing during and after CIP to verify proper cleaning and sanitization.
- Safely operate powered industrial equipment as needed, including:
- Electric pallet jacks
- Forklifts
- Scissor lifts
Food Safety & Quality Compliance Responsibilities
- Maintain strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) at all times.
- Support compliance with SQF, HACCP, and other company food safety programs.
- Participate in sanitation and hygiene protocols, including CIP procedures and cleaning verification.
- Conduct titration and other testing as required to ensure cleaning and sanitization standards are met.
- Report any non-conformance, product quality issues, or safety concerns to supervisors immediately.
- Follow all food safety documentation and record-keeping procedures.
- Assist in internal audits and inspections as needed to ensure regulatory and company compliance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Valid Health Card / Food Handler’s Card required.
- Previous experience in beverage production, warehouse, or food manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Experience with machine operation or powered industrial equipment preferred.
- Ability to perform basic laboratory testing (e.g., titration) preferred.
- Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and food safety practices a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, overtime, or weekends as needed.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing and warehouse setting with exposure to bottling machinery, powered equipment, varying temperatures, and food-grade production areas.
- Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive movements.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
