Mailroom Clerk
Execute queue-based operational work with high accuracy, strong documentation discipline, and timely completion. Works within defined team standards and escalates exceptions appropriately.
Reports To: Operations Lead/Supervisor (team-specific)
Core Responsibilities
- Complete assigned queue work accurately and timely; maintain clean system documentation and artifacts.
- Follow documented procedures, templates, and standards; flag exceptions early.
- Communicate clearly with internal teams and (where applicable) clients/vendors through approved channels.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring defects/rework drivers.
Function / Team Subsections
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming legal mail; prepare and send outbound legal mail; operate mail systems/equipment; maintain proof documentation.
Skills & Qualifications
Required
- High attention to detail; strong documentation discipline; ability to manage time-sensitive queues.
- Strong verbal and written communication; ability to learn workflow systems quickly.
Preferred
- Experience in mortgage default servicing, legal operations, or regulated processing environments.
Experience:
- 1–3+ years in queue-based processing or relevant team experience preferred (role-dependent).
