Title: Test Technician
Type: Contract-to-hire
Location: Sunnyvale CA
Pay Range:
1st Shift: $26.00/hr
2nd Shift: $26.00/hr (+10% shift differential)
3rd Shift: $31.00/hr (+15% shift differential)
Shifts:
1st Shift: Day shift
2nd Shift: Swing shift
3rd Shift: Graveyard shift
Job Function:
As a Test Technician your main responsibility will be to make sure products meet quality standards and function properly. In order to meet quality standards, you will monitor, assemble, improve and manipulate a product to ensure it is in no way defective. You will utilize our equipment and test procedures while testing our products. Collaboration with other Technicians and Engineers is needed to perform regular duties.
Education: A.A./Certificate/B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of electronic testing, debugging, or tester setup. Language: English proficiency required, Mandarin is a plus.
Skills:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics and assembly drawings
- Skilled in using volt-ohmmeters, digital meters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, microcomputers, calipers, and various electronic and microcomputer-controlled test equipment
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and precision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Experienced in operation monitoring and system diagnostics
- Capable of performing routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Additional experience in debugging electronic circuits, firmware, and microcontroller-based systems is required
Responsibilities:
- Perform the most problematic tasks associated with the test and debug trouble analysis and/or repair of test fixture for all test station.
- Assist Test Engineer in setting up test area and methods
- Work from and interpret basic schematics, logic drawings, test procedures, prints, sketches or verbal instructions.
- Write and/or assist Test Engineers in writing new test procedures.
- Recommend new methods or changes in test methods or equipment of efficient and economic tester of system, sub-assemblies or modules.
- Prepare verbal or written reports of tests and work performed.
- Train manufacturing operator or technician how to operate all of the testers on the manufacturing floor.
- Maintain all the tester equipment on the manufacturing floor.
