AgFed Credit Union is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join our Information Technology team. This position is responsible for the administration, maintenance, security, and support of the Credit Union's technology systems and infrastructure.
The Systems Administrator will provide Tier 2 technical support and work closely with the VP of IT, managed service providers, and technology vendors to ensure our systems are secure, reliable, and available to employees and members.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Windows operating systems, and cloud services.
- Monitor and maintain servers, network systems, firewalls, VPNs, switches, routers, and wireless infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system, network, hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Provide Tier 2 technical support and serve as an escalation point for difficult technical issues.
- Manage system updates, patches, backups, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Monitor vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation of security issues.
- Support endpoint protection, access controls, network security, and other cybersecurity technologies.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security.
- Assist with business continuity and disaster recovery activities.
- Work with technology vendors and managed service providers to resolve issues and maintain services.
- Maintain accurate system documentation and technical procedures.
- Participate in scheduled maintenance, system implementations, and after-hours support when needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience or certifications may be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive IT or Systems Administration experience.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Experience with Active Directory and cloud technologies.
- Strong understanding of networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and wireless networks.
- Experience with system security, patch management, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with vendors and managed service providers.
- Financial institution or regulated industry experience is preferred.
- Experience with Jack Henry/Symitar is a plus.
