POSITION SUMMARY: The Property Service Facilities Technician helps assist Facilities department to inspect, repair, install, modify, and maintain Facilities systems, circuits, and equipment. Ability to perform basic repairs such as paint, drywall, carpentry repair, equipment assembly and landscaping. They perform custodian duties and other miscellaneous duties to ensure that facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner. This is an experienced-level position with no direct reports that reports to the Facilities Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain the appearance and safe working conditions of the facility and surrounding areas.
- Utilize tools and materials used in Facilities Maintenance.
- Move furniture within the facility.
- Painting throughout the facility. Walls, Floors, signs, etc.
- Landscaping and snow/ ice removal
- Helps Maintain locks and update locks for the facility.
- Assists with stripping and waxing floors and other tasks as needed.
- Reports needed maintenance repairs to the Supervisor.
- Ensures facility equipment and supplies are stored in a safe and orderly manner.
- Assumes responsibility for elated duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience as a Facilities Technician or similar
- Must have own basic repair tools
- Must be able to read, speak and understand Standard English for receiving instructions, relaying job-related information and reading chemical labels.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in a construction trade field
- Forklift, Scissor lift, boom lift experience.
