We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Probate/Estate Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. Duties
- Prepare and review legal documents related to estate planning, probate proceedings, and estate administration
- Conduct thorough legal research across various practice areas including probate and estate law and more as needed
- Manage case files using document management systems such as Bill4Time and TruState
- Assist with client interviews by gathering necessary information and providing clear communication throughout the estate process
- Review and organize legal documents, contracts, and filings while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Support attorneys in litigation matters by drafting pleadings, proofreading documents, and managing discovery processes
- Maintain detailed records of case progress, deadlines, and correspondence to facilitate efficient workflow
Requirements
- Proven paralegal experience with a focus on probate or estate law; familiarity with estate planning is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of legal research tools such as LexisNexis; experience with legal case management systems is a plus
- Proficiency in document review, legal drafting, proofreading, transcription, and contract preparation
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Skilled in project management principles to coordinate case activities effectively
- Experience working with diverse practice areas including general litigation and trust and estate law & regulations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; professional phone etiquette is essential
- Familiarity with legal administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, document management systems , and clerical support
- Ability to perform detailed research using LexisNexis to support case development
- Strong organizational skills combined with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks
