Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. This position is designed to fill available room space on weekends and includes flexible, part-time virtual hours during the week. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with mental health challenges, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting their recovery and growth. It can be for part time (at least 20 clients a week) for $51 per session rate or full time (33+ clients a week) for $53 per session.
You will work as part of a collaborative team of mental health professionals.
A background in diverse modalities such as play therapy , art therapy, psycho-education, individual and couples counseling is highly valued. Working with a wide range of age groups is highly valued as well.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and therapeutic support to individuals with mental health needs.
- Conduct assessments to determine client needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Facilitate family/couples therapy and individual counseling sessions to promote emotional well-being.
- Implement and support therapeutic activities and interventions.
- Collaborate with clinical staff in case management, supervision, and treatment planning.
- Monitor client progress, behaviors, and safety, and report concerns to the healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings.
- Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive therapeutic environment.
Requirements
- Must be a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC)
- Experience working with individuals with mental health challenges or developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Familiarity with behavioral health principles and therapeutic approaches, including group therapy, individual counseling, and creative therapies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including in bilingual settings.
- Ability to manage crisis situations with calm and compassion.
- Committed to providing culturally competent, high-quality mental health care.
- Availability to work virtually during the week and a couple of days in person.
- Bilingual is a big plus!
- Supervision will be provided in the beginning as you take on caseloads and when you feel settled we can do supervision as necessary.
