Position Summary
Oregon Tech is accepting applications for Literature undergraduate Adjunct Instructors for the Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) Department.
The Humanities and Social Sciences Department is recruiting a pool of adjunct instructors for possible part-time teaching positions. Hired Adjunct Instructors would be teaching courses that help our students complete their General Education Humanities requirement for graduation; which are also part of our Arts, Literature, and Philosophy minor curriculum. Specifically, the department seeks adjunct instructors to teach: Introduction to Literature; Introduction to the Humanities; Medical Humanities; Technology, Society, and Values; American Literature, among others.
Teaching Modality: Appointments may include courses offered online, in person on campus in an alternative format responsive to state and local requirements .
Location: The primary campus locations include the Klamath Falls campus, the Portland-Metro campus (located in Wilsonville, OR), and online. Teaching may be conducted remotely/online, within the United States.
Candidates interested in adjunct teaching positions should apply online and submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and a list of three references with contact information. In your cover letter, please specify the areas you are qualified to offer courses in and/or the specific courses you would be interested in teaching.
This pool will be accessed only when an opening or need arises. Your credentials will remain active as long as the pool position is available but no more than two years. After two years, if you are still interested, you must reapply to the most current adjunct pool.
