Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Moving Team Member to join our team. In this role, you will assist with moving and transporting furniture and other items, ensuring they are handled with care and delivered safely. The position requires active participation in manual handling tasks, utilizing critical thinking skills to adapt to various moving scenarios, and providing excellent customer service. A personal vehicle is preferred for transportation purposes, and on-call availability may be required to meet scheduling needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the loading, unloading, and transportation of furniture and household items during moves.
- Use manual handling techniques to lift, carry, and position items safely and efficiently.
- Handle items with care to prevent damage during transit.
- Adapt quickly to changing situations by utilizing critical thinking skills when handling furniture or navigating obstacles.
- Maintain active listening skills to understand customer needs and provide courteous service.
- Use mobile devices for communication, coordination, or documentation as needed.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed throughout all moving activities.
- Maintain reliable transportation to ensure timely arrivals and departures for scheduled moves.
- Be available on-call to accommodate last-minute or flexible scheduling requirements.
