American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift assignment requiring AWHONN-Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification and at least 2 years of specialty experience.

Work in the Labor & Delivery/Antenatal unit of a Level 2 trauma, teaching hospital with 772 beds
-
Unit includes 19 labor rooms, 12 antepartum rooms, 4 recovery rooms, 8 triage rooms, and 3 OR suites, averaging approximately 4,000 deliveries annually
-
Nurse to patient ratio of 2:1

12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week

Weekend requirement of three shifts per 4-week schedule

Call requirement of one extra shift per 4-week schedule
-
Floating required to Family Care (Mother/Baby) unit, and possibly to NICU or PICU as a helping hand
-
RNs will circulate and recover C-sections

EPIC EMR experience required
-
No block scheduling available
-
Orientation held every Monday, including EPIC training with an opportunity to test out

Active FL or Compact RN license
-
Current AHA-BLS and AHA-ACLS certifications
-
NRP certification required
-
AWHONN-Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required (or ECG tests for fetal monitor if certification not held)

Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery specialty experience required

LDRP or Mother/Baby experience preferred

Strong ECG interpretation skills required

Immediate newborn care experience required

EPIC EMR experience required

Facility is a designated Comprehensive Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center
