Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and actively engage to understand their needs related to lawn care, gardening, landscape maintenance, floral design, and outdoor living projects
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate products, including plants, tools, fertilizers, and landscape supplies
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for sales transactions and cash handling
- Stock shelves efficiently, organize merchandise displays, and ensure the store remains tidy and inviting
- Provide expert advice on horticulture practices, floral arrangements, and landscape maintenance techniques
- Support inventory management through merchandising, stock replenishment, and inventory counts
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing questions in multiple languages if applicable and ensuring a positive shopping experience
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse customers in English; multilingual abilities are a plus
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of lawn care, gardening, horticulture, floral design or landscape maintenance is advantageous but not mandatory—training will be provided
- Organizational skills to manage stocking duties and maintain attractive displays
- Basic retail math skills for handling transactions accurately
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting merchandise or assisting with stock organization
- Enthusiasm for outdoor environments, gardening, or floral arts is highly valued
