POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of assigned roofing projects, ensuring they meet customer expectations and adhere to Horch Roofing’s standards for safety, quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness. The Project Manager works closely with customers, subcontractors, and Horch Roofing teams to ensure smooth project delivery from start to finish, while adhering to Horch Roofing’s core values. This role requires effective communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the Production Coordinator to understand the schedule and material availability.
- Verify material availability with the Production Coordinator and Superintendents to ensure the necessary materials are on-site for subcontractors.
- Review job packets in advance, ensuring a clear scope of work and verifying accuracy with Superintendents.
- Communicate with subcontractors in advance to clarify the scope of work and ensure they are properly equipped to meet contract specifications.
- Ensure all stakeholders, including customers, general contractors, and production teams, are aware of project logistics, timelines, and any contract amendments.
- Maintain clear documentation and regular communication to ensure transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure subcontractors receive Horch Roofing’s safety and quality specifications.
- Communicate timeframes for completion to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Negotiate compensation agreements to align with project requirements and Horch Roofing’s standards.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including updated pricing, materials, and receipts, in Horch Roofing’s digital platforms.
- Provide timely documentation of daily project progress through photographs and updates in Company Cam.
- Ensure Horch Roofing’s drop signs are installed at key locations to increase visibility and recognition.
- Foster positive relationships with customers and general contractors, addressing any issues that arise during and after project completion.
- Ensure the job site is left in an improved condition upon departure.
- Ensure materials are properly loaded, unloaded, and stored in the Horch Roofing yard to prevent damage.
- Follow proper inventory management practices to maintain organized stock and ensure project readiness.
- Complete all required safety and industry training (e.g., OSHA certifications) to maintain compliance and stay current with best practices.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or higher management.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED FOR POSITION
Experience and Skills:
- At least 5 years of experience in roofing or a related field.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification to operate lift equipment.
- Experience in managing production teams and ensuring project timelines and budgets are met.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Advanced knowledge of roofing applications, materials, and best practices.
- Commitment to continuous education in roofing and safety protocols.
