Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Overnight Janitorial Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of client facilities during overnight hours. The ideal candidate will possess strong custodial skills, experience with cleaning equipment and chemical agents, and a commitment to safety protocols. WORK SCHEDULE: FRIDAY-TUESDAY; DAYS OFF: WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment.
- Handle chemical agents safely while performing sanitation tasks in compliance with safety procedures.
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure efficient workflow.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness by dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces.
- Follow established safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment.
- Restock supplies such as paper products and cleaning agents as needed throughout the shift.
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks related to custodial equipment or facilities when necessary.
Experience
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning procedures and industrial cleaning techniques.
- Experience handling chemical agents safely and adhering to chemical handling safety procedures.
- Ability to operate various cleaning equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety protocol adherence related to heavy lifting and chemical handling.
- Customer service skills are beneficial for interacting professionally with staff or clients if needed.
