About the Position
Favor Healthcare Services is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and Urdu-speaking caregiver to provide one-on-one care for a male client diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in Sugar Land, TX.
Fluency in Urdu is required to effectively communicate with the client and provide the highest quality of care.
We are looking for someone who understands the importance of providing respectful, person-centered care while encouraging independence and maintaining the client's dignity.
This is an immediate opening, and we are looking to hire as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
- Assist with bathing and personal hygiene, including showering.
- Provide reminders and encouragement for brushing teeth and using the restroom.
- Assist with dressing and changing clothes.
- Encourage and assist with eating and hydration.
- Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support.
- Refill medications as directed by the care plan.
- Trim and maintain the client's nails on a routine basis.
- Organize and maintain the client's closet and personal belongings.
- Clean the bathroom after use and maintain a safe, sanitary environment.
- Perform light housekeeping, including cleaning floors and carpets as needed.
- Transport the client to medical appointments using the family's vehicle.
- Observe and report any changes in the client's condition to the care coordinator.
Qualifications
- Fluent in Urdu (Required).
- Previous professional caregiving experience required.
- Experience caring for clients with Alzheimer's disease or dementia is strongly preferred.
- Compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation to travel to and from clients' homes.
- Comfortable driving the client's family vehicle for appointments.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
