Position Summary
Star Health Manufacturing LLC, a food, dietary supplement, and animal feed manufacturing facility located in LaBelle, Florida, is seeking an experienced Director of Human Resources to lead and oversee all human resources functions across the organization. The HR Director will develop and execute HR strategy in support of business objectives, ensure compliance with federal and Florida employment law, and foster a safe, productive, and engaged workplace within a regulated cGMP manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Strategy and Leadership
● Develop, implement, and administer HR policies, procedures, and programs aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
● Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, and talent management.
● Lead and mentor HR staff, establishing clear performance objectives and professional development plans.
Recruitment and Talent Management
● Oversee full-cycle recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention across production, quality, regulatory, and administrative functions.
● Develop competitive compensation and benefits programs and conduct periodic market analysis.
● Administer performance management, succession planning, and employee development initiatives.
Compliance and Employee Relations
● Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and Florida labor and employment laws, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, OSHA, and workers' compensation requirements.
● Maintain accurate personnel records and HR documentation consistent with cGMP and FDA-regulated facility standards.
● Manage employee relations matters, investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions in a fair and consistent manner.
● Administer workplace safety, training compliance, and required certifications in coordination with Quality and Operations.
Operations and Administration
● Oversee payroll coordination, benefits administration, and HRIS management.
● Develop and maintain employee handbooks, SOPs, and training records.
● Manage HR budget and vendor relationships, including benefits providers and staffing partners.
Qualifications
Required
● Minimum of three (3) years of progressive human resources experience.
● Working knowledge of federal and Florida employment law.
● Strong working knowledge of HR best practices, compensation, benefits, and employee relations.
● Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Education
● Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
● In lieu of a bachelor's degree, seven (7) years of progressive human resources experience will be accepted.
Preferred
● SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or PHR certification.
● Prior HR leadership or supervisory experience.
● Prior HR experience within a manufacturing, food production, dietary supplement, or FDA-regulated environment.
● Bilingual (English/Spanish) capability.
Work Environment
This position is based on-site at the Company's LaBelle, Florida manufacturing facility. The role requires periodic presence on the production floor and adherence to all facility safety, sanitation, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
