Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team at Kessinger Hunter Managment Inc.
This position is responsible for maintenance and upkeep of all mechanical equipment including motor carts, tractors, lifts, dumpsters, and other items that are on wheels.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for diagnosing and fixing mechanical issues with equipment such as mowers, tractors, water pumps, compactors, salt spreader and saws.
Perform tune-ups, braise, weld equipment and other metals, and maintain files/records about their repair work. Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting, climbing, etc. Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately.
Sand, repair and paint equipment. Perform preventive maintenance; including bleeding of air tanks, on shop equipment according to established schedules. Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to prescribed safety procedures.
You will be required to do general vehicle work such as tire rotation, oil changes, and installation of new brake pads. Service vehicles according to established preventive maintenance schedule. Rotate and balance tires; change oil and filters; lubricate vehicle parts; inspect and replace hoses, belts, mirrors, lamps; and maintain all fluid levels.
Maintain accurate, updated records of preventive maintenance. Inspect vehicles and evaluate condition of systems, equipment, accessories, and lights; service as needed.
Use diagnostic equipment to evaluate mechanical problems in vehicles. Help keep shop, equipment, and tools in safe operating condition. Maintain accurate records of time and materials required to perform repairs and service. Operate tractors and other vehicles as needed.

High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
Two years experience
Valid driver’s license
Language/Communication Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, Technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

The ability to coordinate and multi-task various events using Company provided tools, equipment, scaffolding, and forklifts.

Proficient in Working with Computer Hardware. Chief Focus: Using the mouse/touchpad, smart phone/tablet and keyboard.
Proficient in Windows Operating System
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook Email.
Proficient in Web browsers and websites.
Physical Demands
The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, write, radio, or feel and reach with hands and arms. .
The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; sit; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in steep or awkward positions.
The employee must occasionally lift, carry, and/or move/ push/pull up to 100 pounds.
The employee is regularly required to hear, smell, and see.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee is frequently required to work on scaffolds, ladders, and in high places.
